PupCulture - Issue #3 Is Your Dog’s Routine Healthier Than Yours?

Healthy routines, dog-approved supplements & a poolside paw-ty.

Hey there!

Real talk: Winston takes his probiotics. Charlie’s on his daily omega-3s (for that silky coat). Meanwhile… I had coffee and a muffin for breakfast and called it a win.

This week, we’re exploring how our pups’ routines might actually put ours to shame — from their favorite supplements to the different types of food they’ve tried (spoiler: Winston has opinions). We’re also giving you a sneak peek at our backyard pool party (where Charlie is still deciding if pool floats are friends or foes, but he can be bribed with treats).

Let’s jump in paws first 🐾

🐾 Supplements Our Dogs Actually Use

Winston and Charlie never miss a day of their wellness routine. Me? I forget my own vitamins at least twice a week.

But thanks to a simple lineup from Native Pet (👇 Tap below for 20% off!) , the boys are thriving — inside and out.

Here’s what’s in their “wellness bowl”:

💩 WonderGland
Winston’s not-so-secret weapon for smooth digestion and less scooting. We love a confident strut.

🐟 Omega Oil
Charlie’s daily drizzle for a shiny coat, healthy joints, and that soft, buttery Frenchie fur everyone comments on.

🦠 Probiotics
A belly boost that keeps their tummies happy — especially after travel or a few too many treat breaks.

💧 Bonus: Bone Broth Boost
When it’s hot out, we mix Native Pet’s Bone Broth with cold water for an instant hydration win. It’s tasty, nourishing, and perfect for summer days when water alone doesn’t cut it.

💡 Tip: Always check with your vet before starting new supplements. What works for Winston’s wrinkly charm may not be perfect for every pup.

🍽️ What’s really in the bowl?

Winston and Charlie have tried it all — from crunchy kibble to fancy fresh meals — and they have thoughts. Here’s the lowdown on the big three:

🥣 Kibble
The classic. Easy, shelf-stable, and budget-friendly. But not all kibble is created equal — look for formulas with real meat as the first ingredient and minimal fillers. Winston calls it “weekday food.”

🧊 Freeze-Dried
Think of it as raw food without the mess. Freeze-dried retains more nutrients than kibble and is super convenient. Just add water and watch your pup transform into a gourmet critic.

🥕 Fresh (like Ollie or The Farmer’s Dog)
The crème de la crème. These pre-portioned, gently cooked meals come delivered and ready to serve. It’s pricey, but the benefits — shinier coats, better digestion, and cleaner bowls — are real. Winston eats it like it’s his last supper every night.

💬 Ask Winston & Charlie

Q: What do Winston and Charlie eat every day?
We get this one all the time! Here’s a peek at their daily meals:

Winston eats a 50/50 blend of high-quality kibble and Ollie Fresh Food. It keeps him energized, lean, and very food-motivated. His kibble is Royal Canin’s PD Duck, a vet-prescribed formula that helps prevent skin allergies.

Charlie, still in his puppy phase, is currently on Ollies gently baked Kibble (chicken flavor) with 10% Ollie Fresh Food mixed in. We plan to transition him to the same 50/50 split as Winston once he turns one.

They also start the day with WonderGland (gut support) and finish with a drizzle of Sockeye Salmon Oil at dinner — part of their “glow-up” routine that keeps their coats shiny and bellies happy.

🏖️ Pool Paw-ty 101: Beating the Dog Days of Summer

It’s the dog days of summer — and while Winston and Charlie love the sunshine, they prefer their fun with a splash (and zero risk of paw burn).

Here’s how we’re keeping things cool during backyard pool pawties:

🐾 Kiddie Pool = Instant Paw-ty
Cheap, cheerful, and Frenchie-approved. A shallow splash zone is perfect for zoomies, lounging, or chasing floating toys (unless you’re Charlie, who still thinks they’re alive).
💧 Hydrating Toys from Petco
We’re loving the Leaps & Bounds Fill‑N‑Freeze toys from Petco — like their soda pop or popsicle shapes. Simply fill with water, freeze, and let your pup chew or toss it around for long-lasting hydration and mental stimulation. Winston’s partial to the popsicle — he treats it like his personal summer snack.

 🐶 That’s a Wrap!

From supplements to splash zones, we hope this issue gave you a few ideas to level up your pup’s routine (or maybe even your own). Stay cool, give your dog an extra belly rub from us, and we’ll see you next week with more PupCulture picks.
