Hey there!

Winston here, reporting live from a beach towel under the table (because Charlie stole the only shady spot). It’s officially Hot Dog Summer, and we’re living our best lives — early walks, paddle board adventures, and frozen treats that make our butts wiggle.

This is our very first issue of PupCulture, and we’re excited to kick things off with weekly drops every Monday — packed with Frenchie charm, useful tips, and the occasional dramatic meltdowns (looking at you, Charlie ).

☀️ 5 Summer Survival Rules (from Two Overheated Frenchies)

1. Walks before 9AM or after 7PM (Avoid peak heat temperatures)

2. Pavement test: If it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for our paws

3. Hydrate often - travel bowls & ice cubes - bring on the go

4. Cool floors beat hot asphalt every time - If outside, find the shade, and grass.

5. Know the Heatstroke signs - heavy panting, red gums, lethargy = 🚨

We tried paddle-boarding!

Winston thrived — calm, confident, clearly believing he was born to lead a yacht club. Charlie? A little hesitant at first… but by the end, he found his groove. (Minus the occasional bark at every buoy we passed).

PRO TIP: Frenchies don’t float. (Winston says it’s because of his dense muscle.) So yeah — life jackets are a must!

🍦 Frozen Favorites: Treats We’re Loving

1. 🍉 Frozen Fruit Cubes
   Blueberries, watermelon, strawberries — frozen and snackable.

2. 🍌 Banana & Peanut Butter Pupsicles
   Blend 1 banana, 1 tbsp peanut butter, and ½ cup plain yogurt. Freeze in ice trays.

3. 🫐 Blueberry Coconut Ice Bites

   ½ cup blueberries, ½ cup unsweetened coconut water or plain water

   Blend or mix, pour into ice cube trays or silicone molds, and freeze for a few hours. These are hydrating, antioxidant-rich, and Charlie-approved (as long as he doesn’t see you sneaking one too).

Q: “How do I know if my dog’s too hot?”
A: Are they panting like they just ran a Marathon after only walking 10 feet? That’s your cue.
We recommend: Avoiding Peak Heat, limiting walks to 10 minutes, and Frozen treats when you come back inside.
